Does Bretton Woods sell out quickly?

Are there any activities unique to BW?

Has anyone done the “pirate” option and customized a group? Which activities did your kids enjoy most?

Yes - if they do canoeing, then that's pretty much all they do for the day. They walk a couple of miles to the canoe site, eat lunch, canoe, walk or bus back to the main clubhouse area.

My kid enjoys bar-t mountainside or bar-t ranch camp outdoor element. I am looking into bretton woods adventure camp because of the water activities like canoeing and tubing, something different. But it seems like bretton woods adventure camp is a hit or miss, probably not worth to go. Thank you.

We did the Reno/Tilden stop and it was pretty reliable. The evening bus even came early once, so I would advise parents to be there early. I think the bus was late a few times in the a.m. pick up, but it was related to thing beyond their control like traffic. It wasn't that bad, though. Definitely around more like 10-15 minutes. Never experienced anything worse than that.

My kids loved the camps and tried a few of them. They loved the day camp. The adventure camp was less of hit, but I have heard of some kids loving it. We've also done the soccer camp and they really enjoyed that as well. They also have golf-only and tennis-only camps, which we haven't tried.

I personally loved that I didn't have to pack a lunch every day and the 8:30 bus pick up and 5:25 p.m. drop off worked well with my work schedule. I think it's a great camp. The kids are mostly -- but definitely not exclusively -- World Bank and IMF kids.

They are fixed, but they might add new stops or routes if there is demand.

Any other Bretton woods camp tips?

Any other experiences with the busses? That aspect is already inconvenient for us and if a bus would be even 30 Minutes late it would be a nightmare work-wise

I think it’s allowed if the Bambi has an older sibling.

We will stick with HeadFirst this next summer and circle back to Breton Woods for summer of 25!

My then-7 year old DS did both and found adventure camp much more fun - regular camp was disorganized (like they ended up missing the swimming lesson, which wasn't much of a lesson anyway, two of the days) and the activities were not as good. Just FYI the bus was wildly unpredictable (came as much as 1 hour+ late in both the morning and afternoon) our summer - hopefully it is better now!

Are camp bus routes ever flexible? My family and a neighbor want to join a BW camp but the bus stop is an 18 min drive.

I emailed them and got the ok for my Bambi kid to ride the bus with his older sibling. Just reach out.
