My son is getting my Subaru ascent, 65k miles. Have a driver coming up behind him in one year then another two years after that. They will all use it and I will finally get my Audi

Oldest kid got a Honda Civic. Second kid will get my old Acura MDX. It’s much easier to find a new car these days vs a used one so I get a new car

We just bought our 16 year old a used Subaru Outback (2018). It isn't cool or fast or fancy - just safe. He won't be driving until this summer. We have a new driver (and another one getting their learner’s permit in a couple of months). We bought a 2018 Subaru Outback for them to share. The safety features are wonderful.
