I would love this too.

Where does one buy very nice pajamas?

Wife here and I would echo a local staycation would be awesome - maybe an Easton B&B or a DC boutique hotel. Two nights (considering check in is usually 3pm, I'd want a full day to sleep in and not feel like I have to make an 11am check out) close enough that it's not a chore to drive. Someplace where I could walk to a super nice dinner alone and have drink or two at the hotel bar. Maybe a spa.

Excellent pajamas would also be welcome. Hell, I'd be happy with a set off the rack from Nordstroms and a pair of super warm slippers.

You have restored my faith in the men on DCUM. I got all the feels now.

Consider myself lucky. DW does that all the time for me. A little reach around! 🤦‍♂️

I was able to lay in bed, watch Netflix, order room service and stay in pj’s all day. Then I went out to take my time to shop by myself in peace and quiet.

That sounds amazing.

That sounds amazing, truly.

I never would buy very nice jewelry for myself but my DH will buy it occasionally and I love it.

Ok, I would look at fitness equipment she doesn't have, small stuff like ankle weights with adjustable weights, resistance bands, foam roller, maybe TREX if you have somewhere to hang it, new running watch or Fitbit. Running socks. We've had good luck with D!cks Sporting Goods curbside pickup so you don't have to worry about shipping delays.

Look for a best travel writing of 2021 book list and order from that.

I think experience presents are a bit dicey this year.

Not OP but PP. Some people, including some spouses, get whatever they want for themselves, or truly do not use much "stuff." I know this is hard for some folks to believe but it's true. My brother and SIL have always been difficult to shop for in any meaningful way so we get them a lot of books related to stuff they like and then a lot of food gifts, because they truly do get themselves whatever they want or need to use.

Do you live with them? Do you see them every day? This isn’t the same as your spouse. Sorry. If you can’t some up with ONE item to buy your spouse you aren’t paying attention, or you are just lazy.

I mean…my DH buys what he wants. But I can think of 5 things I can buy him immediately.

I couldn't think of 5 things I want. I mean, I can think of plenty of things I need (a couple new bras, an oil change for my car) and would be fine with those as gifts, but a lot of couples don't do that.

Can you tell us something about your spouse, like hobbies or gifts they've liked in the past? I love the Fine Gardening subscription I get every year, but that's not everyone's hobby.

Thx, I've done well with concert tickets, cooking lessons for two, etc in the past. She's into fitness, travel, writing, etc. Def buys what she wants throughout the year, and answers "I dunno" to what she wants.

Thx for the help brainstorming!
