We’ve always had success with River and we’ve used it for years in 2 different cities. Only for boarding. We’ve found 2 that we now consistently use. We’ve never had anyone bail on us. We did have one meet and greet where I didn’t get a good feeling- tiny apartment and the person seemed apprehensive around my 25 lb dog. We mutually agreed not to make the booking.

I agree on the updating availability and non responses. Some people on there are not very responsive.

Rover.com would be good if the people actually updated their availability calendars, then we wouldn't keep getting constant rejections saying they're not available on the dates required for their service date

NP Are you a vet? Do you know what kind of dog Op has? For bigger dogs the recommendation now is to wait a year. So, "grandpa" your opinions are way out of date.

We had 2 Rover sitters bail. I don't trust the service.

OP. Booked a meet and greet with another walker and they were a no-show. Go figure.

Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully we can figure something out, but I’m getting super stressed over this.
