FCV isn’t getting into ECNL regardless.
BRYC had not been competitive in ECNL since their acceptance.
Kicking out BRYC, denying FCV while adding a club like Beach would ultimately strengthen VA ECNL overall. Trading a NoVA club for a non NoVA club would consolidate talent in NoVA while adding a large untapped player pool in the VA Beach area.
Untapped? Lol - they all go the Richmond - you didn't really think those were all Richmond kids did you?
Trading Beach for BRYC is less likely than trading BRYC for SOCA....which is my guess
The ECNL does not trade out clubs. BRYC will stay in, as they should.
I would expect a merger with a smaller club to add to the player pool

I don't think they would consider dropping the girls if their boys were good, but since their boys aren't, I could see them dropping either just the girls or both. The boys were also terrible last year, but have two age groups U14 and U15 that could possibly make the national playoffs this year. Not saying they have a great chance, but having a chance is a big improvement from last year.
Entire club has an issue and it is not talent. Girls and boys teams not doing well across all ages. When the club accepts that there is an issue and that needs some upgrades things could change.
to make a change in leadership but that won’t happen.
There are just not enough players to support 7 “elite” clubs.

No idea how you know what ECNL will or will not do.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anyone have any insight?
The ECNL won’t move a Club out of the league without a strong reason.
BRYC is all in on the ECNL. Boys and Girls.
If anything they would encourage the club to partner up to field stronger groups

All options would be explored before taking a club out of the league, that includes partnerships.

VDA is in first place in two age groups and as a club is 38 Wins, 31 Losses, and 13 Ties.
BRYC's best age group is in 9th place and as a club is 11 Wins, 62 Losses, and 10 Ties.
Is there a reason you think VDA should be dropped before BRYC?
