There were some tragic teacher deaths in NYC in March and April 2020. But that was in the very very early days and pre-vaccine.

And what it does is actually reduce viral load which means even omicron will stop being so transmissible.

I'm not arguing with you one way or another about whether we will all get covid. Fine! Let's all get covid! But let's not all get it at the exact same time right before an effective treatment is finally available!

No, what happened was that vaccines that were effective became available to much of the adult population starting about a month after this post. That's what allowed "nothing" to happen, putting aside how many unvaccinated people died from Delta all summer long. But the vaccine effectiveness is now waning, so I don't think "nothing" is going to happen now to people who aren't boosted.

Maybe you folks can only keep track of two variables at a time.
