For real. You are ok with the teacher of your child having a grandchild she watches all day that behaves like this? And what kind of child did she raise that is now the parent. Reflects very poorly on this daycare center and the teacher.

Home daycare centers can be a good option, but stay away from the ones where their own children/grandchildren are also there too.

In this situation, I would delicately mention that your daughter seems to "not be getting along much" with Sven and see if the teacher has recommendations or thoughts on how to help. You might not mention any specific examples but just see how the teacher responds.

As others have said, I think you need to start looking elsewhere. This kid is not going anywhere as the grandson of the teacher, and even if she is doing her best to manage the situation, it is going to infinitely harder for her to do so with a kid that is her own grandson (just simply because he is less likely to feel the distance that might result in him listening more to a teacher than his grandmother). I don't think this is a great situation.
