Rice Krispie treats with festive sprinkles on top. Made these with some 5yo kids this weekend, they love to do the sprinkles!

Puppy chow, which I mostly see called muddy buddies now. Chex tossed with melted chocolate and peanut butter then covered in powdered sugar. You can make a batch in one of those giant ziplocs. Not exactly Dorie Greenspan but easy and addictive.

Seven layer bars. Like a candy square and easy. We don’t like the coconut layer though so we always experiment with something different like marshmallows.

You can also buy mini graham crusts and cheesecake filling from the refrigerated crescent roll section. Add cherry 🍒 pie filling on top. Kids can help.

I’ve never really done Christmas cookies before, but we are all stuck home with Covid. I’m doing:

1) snap pretzels + Hugs kiss + red/green M&M ( I remember my DH’s secretary one year gave these out and they were good!)

2) snap pretzels + Dove caramel filled chocolate + pecan half


Ok, I know these aren’t really cookies, but I don’t feel up to actual baking. I did print a new hearty whole wheat chocolate chip cookie recipe to try sometime.

Also peanut butter buckeyes.

I totally remember you posting about these last year. The kids thought they sounded great. We got all the supplies, but we couldn't squeeze it in with all the other must-do holiday activities. We'll try again this year.

This. It is so good with crushed candy cane on top.
Also, dip pretzel rods, walkers shortbread, Oreos or dried mango in melted white chocolate, then dredge in red or green colored sugar. So pretty.

Another vote for fudge - you just melt the ingredients and freeze. Also, rice krispie treats.

Mix together melted chocolate chips, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until it seems pretty solid. Add a few spoonfuls of liqueur if you are into that. Roll the lumps of cream cheese mix in sprinkles, cookie crumbs, crushed oreos, coconut, etc. put in fridge to solidify. Voila. Truffles.
