I know this sounds very dramatic but I am literally weeping. I have 5 and 3 year old boys and we basically cannot ever take eyes off them. We cannot cook, cannot clean, cannot relax.

We are deeply miserable and I often regret having kids.

Hang in there, PP! We have two boys. My oldest is 7 and my youngest will turn 5 soon. When they were 5 and 3, we were exactly where you are. Now they can play unattended and it is life-changing. Hang in there!

Family with a 2 year old. Breakfast and playing, long walk/park/trip somewhere (or running around in the basement on rainy days). Lunch. A couple books. Nap during which mom and dad read/clean/one runs errands. On days where nap is refused we sometimes watch a movie (kid fighting nap often falls asleep during a movie). More playtime and/or video chat with family. Dinner. Bath and Bedtime. I tend to open my work email/computer after bedtime to get an idea of what I'm looking at Monday morning.

Church followed by an activity. Once home the kids prep for the week (wash uniforms, lunch menu etc.). We FaceTime with grandparents and cousins. Wrap up with dinner and football, family game, or movie ( I style their hair during the movie/football).

Do you have a room in your house you can make a playroom-a totally kid-safe area? Or, keep them in whatever room you are working in, like if you're cooking, they're in the kitchen with you (coloring or playdough or something).

Grocery store, sometimes haircuts, laundry, watching Netflix, taking walks/hikes, decorating the tree

I think they meant the kids are in their bed.
