I do think she got the brunt of it, more so than other celebs, because she married Brad Pitt and he went on to have 6 kids with another huge star. It's a lot to ask America to drive by that without stopping. I mean, I don't think people were obsessed with Sandra Bullock or Sheryl Crow's lack of children or to Jen's point Dolly's because there was never a huge A list star (no one cared about whatever car guy moron Sandy was married to - I don't even remember his name - and Sheryl never married and her highest profile relationship already had a bunch of kids).
I do feel bad for her....and it was really weird how many tabloids were constantly posting bump or no bump pictures. But if you marry and divorce Brad Pitt, yea people are going to be interested in stuff. I'm not sure that she really could or should have done anything differently. it was sort of just bad luck. I think she was probably open to having kids via surrogate or adoption if she had found a guy who really wanted them....but she didn't go for that kind of guy. We all know Justin didn't want kids.
Anyway, she's 52 now so that is in the past. She is not going to have kids.
She wouldn't be the first woman to have kids in her 50s, if that's what she wanted, but my impression has always been that she wanted an intact family unit as a child of divorce. Shame she fell for Justin, so incompatible. I see the next relationship being with a more mature guy who has kids, and that she'll be a fabulous and committed stepmother.

She was then single and heart broken in her mid thirties and dated a slew of not family friendly men. We do not know whether she pursued treatments to ensure she could have biological children. By the time she got married again, she was allegedly considering adoption. That marriage also ended. So that's how she ended up with no children.
Brad basically screwed her over.
She was 35. Sheryl and Sandy went on to adopt. So did Hoda. She could have had a surrogate using her eggs probably too. I don't think kids were a priority for her and that's okay. I think this thread drives home her point anymore - people just assume she is devastated about not being a mom and have trouble accepting...she might not have wanted to become a mom. Which is fine. Really, it is. I LOVE being a mom.....but different strokes and all.

This is exactly it. Because Brad went on to have a slew of kids with someone else, and Jen wasn't giving details, people filled in their own blanks with "Well, Jennifer didn't want kids so that's why Brad left her." Which, of course, would be incredibly hurtful to her if she did in fact want kids, but wasn't able to.
This seems like it was the case.
Yes, exactly.
