You get sent to a big conference room, everyone in that assigned room is told they’re let go, and you get a escorted out of the building with your desk contents in a box. It’s like being in a bad movie. I’d rather do it online.

I love how he lists his High School on LinkedIn:
Stuyvesant, yes is a selective magnet school, but end of the day you are there because you parents lived in NYC and tutored the hell out of you.
Meh. I went to TJ and I have it listed on LinkedIn (but not on my "official" resume). I get lots of cold calls from recruiters due, in part, to the TJ thing.

Did you read about WeWork? CEOs know the boards are afraid to upset the founder genius, and there is no upside to being adults (Uber had a really hard time), but if they let the founder ride free they may get huge payday.
Was he sleeping with Elana?

Typical Silicon Valley, Netflix HR inspired, we aren’t a family, we’re a sports team. You get cut, it’s because you don’t have any value in the moment, nothing personal.

Also, if I worked for a dot com, I would expect this sort of frivolous reduction in force to happen frequently. Cause young CEOs (who apparently have trouble articulating their thoughts, like this guy with his halting delivery) don’t know what they’re doing.
