Can't you just take them off and leave them at home the whole time? Or select when you take the tracking devices with you?

I’m a nanny and one day I went to take the baby out for a walk. The dad practically chased us down the street to put a tracker in the stroller. It was my first and least week working for them. Buddy, I like my single child free life, I’m not trying to steal your child. I’m just doing my job! I’m all for cameras but a tracker in a stroller to walk two blocks over? Boy, bye.

I’d be worried he’s hiding listening devices too

I would just leave the trackers at your house. Talk to your lawyer. It could be worth it to stipulate all communication happen through a coparenting app.

Particularly since your kid is so young, I think it's worth it to spend some money getting advice from a lawyer. I'm divorced and there is nothing a tracker could show me or my ex that would prove that the other is doing something "wrong." We can each do as we wish on our own time, including taking our kid places and riding in other cars. The only things that would be permissible (driving impaired, for example, wouldn't show up on a tracker). I would talk to a lawyer and make a plan for what you will do if he does withhold your child, you should be able to file an emergency petition, but make sure you know in advance all the steps and document his controlling behavior.

I think you can wrap them in foil to disable them??

My ex bought the kids gizmo watches as soon as I left. He’s controlling and bought them so he could track the kids when they’re with me. I take them and turn them off when the kids are with me so he can’t track us. You’re in charge of parenting them when they’re with you. Period. End of story.

They are relatively cheap now. Apple ID trackers cost like $20-25 dollars. It looks like a button. They are easy to slip in somewhere.

If OP has an iPhone, she'll get alerts if an apple tracker that isn't hers is following her. My wife and I have them on our keys and constantly get alerts about the other person's tracker.

Oh and I would not mess with the trackers. They are harmless (well except for your mental health) but messing with them can set the ex off.
