If possible, bring a wing person. I've done multiple holidays with friends where my job was being a neutral observing party so people wouldn't act to badly.

This + be vague and non-committal about everything. Don't engage. Stay busy. Be the person who runs out to get stuff, take the kids outside, bring freaking olive penguins to assemble. Never say s bad word about anyone in front of them. If they gossip to you just be vague and don't repeat anything
