I've never been able to nail it down myself, but I love a good jam print cookie. (Hint, looking for a good easy recipe)!

Curious..what is a Santa’s whisper?

Sorry, should say Santa's Whiskers - has cherries, pecans and coconut

Sounds good! Recipe?

Also, cutouts, of course.
And thumb prints (we call them thimble cookies) filled with raspberry and pineapple jam
And forgotten cookies, with chocolate chips. These were always my favorite growing up, mostly because they were so unusual: https://www.thespruceeats.com/classic-forgotten-cookies-with-variations-3053320

I think I love you! Someone has bringing the lemon cookies to our church bake sale for years and they are our favorite. Often they are gone quickly. I inquired about the recipe and he said he would share it if I gave a sizable donation to the church. Ouch, I'm low income.

My grandma always put currant jam in her thumbprint cookies. I've also tried cherry, apricot, and lemon curd, which worked great. My mom tried mint jelly ine year to do a red and green theme and it just doesn't quite work

Betty Crocker toffee bars. There is NO TOFFEE in them, they’re a soft brown sugar cookie topped with chocolate and nuts (I like pecans) and cut into bars. Love themmmm

If you want something that's basically just a vehicle for candy, I highly recommend hot cocoa cookies. A chocolate cookie where you place a piece of chocolate and half a marshmallow on top near the end. But I substitute peppermint bark for the chocolate just to make the whole thing even more ridiculous.
