This post makes me glad I purchased dinner to go this year, with the exception of desserts. It was the best Thanksgiving meal I've ever had and couldn't screw it up!

Turkey is not an easy thing to cook (any hunk of meat that large is going to be harder). Stuffing actually placed inside a large bird is also a bad idea because og basic temp issues and because honestly the only thing that should be inside a bird is an onion and lemon. By making stuffed turkey traditional we are basically setting people up for failure.

Turkey is sooo villlllle

+1 why does everyone need/love turkey on Thanksgiving. Can we let it go?

Can you let go of the fact that some of us do, indeed, like turkey? We get a few breasts throughout the winter to roast and enjoy as sandwich leftovers. It’s fine if you don’t like it. I always serve at least two mains, so no one is left out. But like…yeah. We like it. Get over it.

It is sooo beige and dry

+1 I love turkey above all other meat. I’ve made dozens but this year wasn’t good

I thought this was peoples go-to, no?

It would solve a lot of peoples dry turkey or undercooked turkey flops.

I got a bone in turkey breast that had a pop up this year. Plainville brand
I think. I took out of the oven a couple
Minutes after pop up and it was juicy and perfect. Which is a first for me when cooking the turkey breast

Sorry, OP!

Butterball turkeys are pretty decent but if you wait for the pop up, it is overdone.

Scale back. Roast a turkey breast and add a Honeybajed ham as a makeweight. Fois gras anything is the stuff of professionals. But one pie, make another.

I don’t get the whole foods love. Their food is not good. No fresh Turkey will be good more than a few days.

WF shoppers think they are special because they spend more on their grocery. Dumb logic but it’s their money.
