Did the CDC issue that?

You don’t make everyone sick.
Exactly. Jesus people. Why are all these threads about whether or not you should go to Thanksgiving when you’re sick? Covid or cold, nobody wants it. Stay home.
This. People are getting flattened for days by “just a cold” spread by family, friends, coworkers. DD got it at work, spread it to her BF, who spread it to three people at his small employer. No idea if they also spread it to their families, but DD is pretty annoyed at her coworker who could have WFH.

Anonymous wrote:Ugh, OP -- this might be us. DH had a cold over the weekend (tested for Covid, negative) and is recovering, but now DD has it. We are supposed to be driving 6 hours to see his family tomorrow. We are staying in an AirBnB there so will probably go unless DD is sick enough to be miserable in the car. Hoping it's short lived and she can still go to dinner Thursday and see relatives. We'll be taking rapid tests with us so we can test daily while there just in case. But if she's symptomatic I just don't see how we go to Thanksgiving with her. Everyone there is vaccinated for Covid except the under-5s, but obviously we don't want to give a cold to anyone and especially not kids who would then have to miss school or daycare.
So there is a decent chance that I will wind up spending Thanksgiving in an AirBnB with a sick child by myself while my DH has dinner with his family. It sucks!

I was with you for sec, but then thought what if OP had covid but didn't know it yet.
