Anonymous wrote:Yup. My 2 year old will eat frozen peas and her weight in fruit but no meat. But seaweed snacks and parmezan and a whole pomegranate including swallowing the seeds. At her age my oldest would eat raw cabbage but not buttered toast.
Kids are funny that way. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:My child (five now, but this has been the case since 2) will eat any quantity of straight parmesan cheese you will allow her. She won't eat a carrot or a pea or anything green, she's lukewarm on virtually all protein, but a 2 ounce hunk of parmesan? Absolutely she wants that.
I'm familiar with this. My 4 year old loves pasta, by which she means she loves gently scraping the shredded parmesan off the noodles and then asking for "more cheese, please." Sometimes I try to convince myself that she is getting some other nutrients by virtue of some of the sauce sticking to the cheese. But realistically, she has eaten entire meals that were 90% parmesan cheese.

Yesterday my 2 yo and 4 yo ate an entire 1.5 lb pack of cherry tomatoes as I was cooking dinner. And then, predictably, were not interested at all in dinner.
Ignore the humblebrag posters, op. Kids are funny.
