One of my guests takes the lead on this every year. It is good although I’m not sure it’s with the mess, etc.. but I don’t do it so it’s fine.

Tell me about German red cabbage. How do you make?

My sister makes it every year so I do not kn ow her secret, LOL. But it is sort of sweet and sour, uses purple cabbage and boils it for a long time I think in a vinegar. It's so good!

I'm the PP who suggested pumpkin cheesecake, and I don't think they're redundant. They're very different desserts (as someone who has made and who loves both).

As someone who loves pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake, I don’t think they are redundant at all. But I might use a gingersnap crust for the cheesecake just to differentiate it a bit more.

^ As someone who doesn’t like pumpkin desserts, I think they are redundant. Do a fruit pie or plain cheesecake.

The problem for me is I make these potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, beans dishes on a regular basis.

Turkey seem to be something that is uniquely Thanksgiving but only 2 out of 10 people are into turkeys at my party.

Pies - the less sugar the better for us.

Maybe I'll add one of those "ethnic" dishes others have mentioned in the other thread about ethnic food.
