Agreed. I think he is the screw up in his family. I would much rather have one Julian Castro run. He is thoughtful and deliberate, instead of being a loose cannon.
Beto has flailed around quite a bit to find his path.
I was disturbed once when I read or saw in interview where he was dropping F-bombs in front of his very small children. Not impressed.
What is stopping Castro from running if he wants to?
I don't understand this line of objections. Can you please explain where you're coming from here?
Whatever they did/do, they need to be cohesive and not run people against each other and ideally figure out the best person to beat Abbott and go all in on her. This isn't the time to have tough primaries. It looks like the Dems have decided on Beto. It is mistake.

No way will Beto win with his position on guns.
They should have gone with a moderate woman.
What? There's no "they" yet. He's running in the primary. If there's a better D candidate, they can win and run against Abbott.
It requires organization and money. My point is that the Democrats all need to get it together and come up with a cohesive plan and NOT run against each other in the primaries. But they don't have organization. Matthew Dowd running for Lt Gov is interesting. But it is too bad the Dem ticket will be two white guys.

Trump is a rich white man who went to a posh boarding school and univ. But, Trumpsters still love him. The difference is that Beto is not an ahole jerk who caters to other ahole jerks. Oh, you mean Dems won't vote for him?
But you aren’t competing against Trump. You are competing against a generally successful governor who went to a Texas university, is married to a Hispanic woman and is, oh by the way, in a wheelchair. Cute kennedy-esque Beto needs more than charm.
Yea, I know who he is competing against. My point is that they will support Abbott over Beto because Abbott isn't your rich white dude, but they seem to have no problems supporting Trump who is a rich white dude. you don't see the double standard there? The only thing that intersects Abbott and Trump is that both are willing to cater to aholes.
