Planning a sick day or two is better than actually having to take several days with no notice if I actually get Covid.

Any anti-inflammatory you take before or during your vaccination will dull your immune response. Deal with it. You got the shot to create an inflammatory response.

I had a Moderna booster after Pfizer initial series. I just hydrated really really well. I always try to hydrate really well but on the day of the booster and the day after I really focused on it. I don’t know if it helped but I was shocked that all I really noticed was a moderately sore arm. I was heavily fatigued with both Pfizer shots but nothing this time.

Moderna is a half dose, which is 50 mcg. Pfizer is a full dose, which is 30 mcg.

Tylenol seriously messes with my liver so I try not to take that if possible. I was able to ride out my mild symptoms last time, hoping the same for the booster.

Definitely do not take anything before. Treat symptoms as you get them.

I got the booster the other day and didn’t feel bad until 12 hours later terrible aching pains but no fever. Took some Tylenol and felt better the next day.

You should have tried Tylenol first. Less likely to impair immune response. To answer your original question, do not ake Advil or Tylenol prophylactically. Only take if you need it for symptoms and then start with Tylenol first


Can you point to where you got the info. about Tylenol and immune response? Acetaminophen depletes glutathione, I too like to avoid all of these around the time of vaccination unless in serious discomfort.
