If he cared for new things, Uniqlo men's section is where I would do. I have a few items from there and so does out younger one.

I love unique, the thrift store. I am thrilled when i find stuff there for my family, myself included. Nothing to feel bad about. In fact my faith i humanity is restored a bit when i see all the teenagers shopping there.

I don't get the thrift stores but I shop clearance and usually get things cheaper new.

My kid is still a tween, but we laugh that he probably couldn't tell you what he’s wearing without looking down. He’s oblivious, but about to grow out of little kid stores and I was hoping this thread would tell me what to buy. Currently wearing khaki cargo pants and a rugby shirt.

I think it depends on where you live/school. At our school anything goes so even Walmart is fine. They really don't care.

My son likes Nike, Adidas and UA for athletic clothing but the Walmart brand are fine (usually get that for sleep/house clothing). I switch off jean brands depending on what I get cheaply. Mine likes specific t-shirts in his interests so that's easy too. Its usually jeans and t-shirts in our house. Adidas for sneakers as that's what fits best (but he refuses the fancy styles).

I should say I also sometimes do Amazon (on top of the ones I listed there) but I have so much put away I haven't really been shopping as I buy a few sizes up. I know I cannot get away with that when mine is a full teen in adult pants but then there is always Costco.

I suspect I'll be doing the same thing at 17, and older. But, I also buy everything for my husband and they are just used to things showing up. Though it makes it easy as with my son I can just buy the next size and put it away for when he needs it.
