Where are you. We are leaving our in home daycare so a spot is open.

I’m assuming she’s licensed. There’s a reason why you can be licensed for up to eight with no assistance or helpers. It is completely doable and thousands have made a profession of this for years.

Where are you located? There are child care centers and preschools that don't require masks until 5.

I dunno at daycare my 2 year old has very much bonded with another 2 year old. His language also exploded when he got back into daycare (he wasn't behind at all (we read to him a ton) but he spoke a lot of his own words that husband and I understood but no one else did). I think there's value in being around similar ages.

I need part time, but all day. I looked at a few church preschools near me but they require masks for her age (seems to be common with religion affiliated preschools?). She is not quite there yet though getting better!

Most daycares require masks after 2 per CDC guidelines.

8 months is actually pretty good - they will grow fast and as they are toddlers - they can all “play together” more. My 2.5 year had the switch up to new babies this year at our home daycare and I am slightly worried about it, but we just do a ballet class. I totally trust the provider and know she does activities with her and actually now has brought in a same age kid a few mornings a week. I think she will be fine taking care of three kids totally. 4 is a bit more iffy but I’m sure she can do it.

I have a friend who does in home daycare by herself. She does just fine. This would not worry me OP.

Does this lady plan on hiring an assistant?

Are the babies there the whole day (obviously her own is), but is the other one?

Does she have cameras you can login to spot check? Just something that gives a room view? I wouldn't be a fan of the husband being around.

That’s perfectly fine I wouldn’t look too much into this. It’s hard I know but if you felt good about this
Option don’t let this get you down
