My 4 yr old sometimes says “Cheese-us” in response to a loud noise or other unpleasant surprise, because she’s heard me say “JESus” u see similar circumstances. It makes me laugh too much to do anything about. We’re agnostic/atheist but I was raised Christian and I have a hard time seeing even the devout Christians I know getting upset about this because they don’t pray to Cheese-us.

Kids can be so succinct.

I mean, I do say that sometimes but wish I didn’t. And I don’t think a 7 year old should say it especially when he has no idea what it means or why it could be extra offensive to any Christian friends.

My 2 year old was trying to open a door and said “sucking door”. Couldn’t say f. Yet. It was so funny.
