Subject: Food expectations for a kid’s party?
I am an immigrant and I do not understand why only pizza is served at all children parties. In my home country we serve variety of food. Every party we go to have pizza pizza pizza.

I hosted a 2 o clock party. Served snacks/drinks/cake. Kids asked when the pizza was coming. I felt guilty...

Also hate 1pm parties. It takes up the day, 11-1 or 10-12p is way better. Usually parents to pizza at the end of the party, but light snacks would be fine too.

I would expect lunch at a 11-1 party but not at a 1-3 party. Clearly some people do expect lunch 1-3 so if you choose that time slot, make sure to state in the invitation what you will serve (“lunch and cake” or “cake and punch” etc.).
Eating outside would be fine.

PP from above — forgot to mention that some kind of snack/beverage would figure into the 2-4 time slot. Have fun!

If you do want to serve lunch, then 11-1. If you want to serve food, but not lunch exactly, then 1-3. If you don’t want to bother with food, 2-4.
