Yes they get report cards. They are given numbers for different subjects showing whether they are below, on, or above grade level. They’re also evaluated on a bunch of behavior stuff with letters (LP = limited prompting, I = independently, etc.). Not particularly helpful, IMO, unless your school hasn’t been communicating issues/concerns with you.

What did you put in for username? It wasn’t recognizing just my email. And for which school, if you don’t mind sharing.

ok so i went to Aspen and put in my email and forgot password and was able to get in. I think I see something of the report card, but not really. I see a comment that seems from his teacher, but no grades. (This is K)

In no world should 1) A kindergartner be getting a report card, and 2) a parent be stressing about said report card.
DP, but after a year of virtual pre-K, I’m very curious how my kid is doing - socially, emotionally, and academically. I’m sure we aren’t where we were in spring of pre-K 3, but I just don’t have a sense of how much she missed and how much she’s caught up.
Teacher advice: You're not going to get what you are looking for from a report card; reach out to the teacher and see if you can schedule a 5 - 10 minute meeting or phone call if you want to know where your child is. I have never understood why DCPS doesnt schedule PTCs around the same time as report cards, because every year the report cards inevitably lead to parent requests to meet anyway, which is understandable.
Thanks, I will certainly do. I was hoping to see the report card first (for talking points if not for anything else), but this is our first year in DCPS so I'm not sure what to expect.

Hmm - I googled Aspen, but I have never gotten an email from the school to sign up for Aspen. Is there a way to do it without that email - regular canvas credentials?
