I feel like the highest class cracker would be the Scandinavian brown ones or something but they do not work with every dip. Or maybe broken lavash or crusty bread or something that's not technically a cracker....I'm not sure any crackers are especially classy.

OP - I love this so much! I am a big fan of Ritz and Club crackers with cheddar cheese. But definitely know that Carrs and Brie or other cheese varieties are what some think are better class and taste better on water crackers. I totally love when people serve crab dip w Club crackers. You and the Ritz/Club cracker crew are my favorite kind of ppl!!!

Go on, tell them, Betty!” And then when she blusters, start laughing and say, “Betty just scolded me for serving Ritz because they are low-class crackers and said she was embarrassed for me. I am a member of a mayflower waspy New England family. What is super funny about your MILs reaction is that IME wasps LOVE ritz and club crackers - just make sure you only put out a few and that they are in a silver bowl .
