You’re taking care of your body and your health is improving, that is the important thing. You are reducing your risk of diseases and diabetes and bad joints and a whole host of other medical issues. That should be your motivation, not a few compliments.
I hate when people comment on my weight, up or down, and I would never compliment someone unless they specifically told me they were making efforts to lose weight.
This. Last year, I lost 20 pounds. Only one person asked if I'd lost weight. She said she noticed it in my face.
I then lost another 15 or so. A couple of people said something. I got a few little sideways quizzical looks with a "have you lost weight????" I'm like yeaaahhh. 38 pounds (and it's a question? - ha)
It probably won't be evident until you've gone down 2 or maybe even3 sizes (sorry). It wasn't till I hit 50-60 pounds, and then everyone was when did you get skinny?
