Given that my only other interaction with my kids' teachers is a two-minute hello at the open house, I can't imagine there isn't something to learn from a 10-minute meeting.

Ours are done during school hours and I believe will all be virtual this year so it's not like the teacher can just leave. Even if it only lasts 5 minutes, I think it's always a good idea to just check in, especially in elementary where they are with the same teacher most of the day. Middle and high school may be different.
