+1. We travel a lot and hold out for a 5 row minimum distance from the bathrooms because people line up - and smells waft out!

Yeah the smell and people standing around next to your definitely make these less than desirable seats. If this is a short flight sure go ahead, but otherwise I’d avoid them if possible. If my only choice was an aisle/window near the bathroom or a middle seat, though, I’d take the bathroom seats.
