This has nothing to do with mental health. It has to do with the parents needs and wishes. They are the same parents you call when the kids don't do their work or you are concerned and they ignore your calls and emails. These are the same parents who don't think twice about sending their sick kids in as they cannot be bothered staying home with them. These are the same parents who can afford to, but choose not to send in school supplies, snacks, coats and think its your responsibility (and can afford it, not talking about those financially struggling). These are the same parents who should not even be having kids.

Parent here, and my experience is the same. I hate wearing a mask. My kids don't really mind at all, and often walk all the way home before they realize they are still wearing a mask. I was prepared to go to the mat on this because I thought kids would hate it, but it's been no big deal.

MCPS and MDH certainly don't need to wait for CDC.

No, I don't eat raw cookie dough or meat and no, we don't have a dog.

Masking is common sense. I guess many are lacking that.

I’m so exhausted by them. I think they felt relevant for once in their lives by getting bylines in forced op-Ed’s and somehow think they are important.

Same. And even if the state lifts its mandate, Montgomery County is so conservative about the mask issue.
