Lol my 9yo loved Hamilton for about a month. It’s fine, I wouldn’t do it for a birthday though. How about Home Alone? Annie ( original or remake) The Little Princess. Samantha the American Girl movie was pretty good too.

Oh and Annie could be fun. My favorites are the original (might be too long) and the 2014 remake.

We recently watched that version of "A little princess." It's a good movie, but I would not want to show it to a bunch of other people's kids. A lot is about parent death and my 9 year old cried. I love The Sound of music, but it's a little long for a party and the Nazi stuff at the end is scary.

I haven't seen Chitty Chitty bang bang as an adult, but thanks for the reminder. I want to check that one out again.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks from a similar era could be fun and has a Halloween your in with the witch.

Did you watch the movie without knowing the music beforehand? Maybe I need a better sound system in my home, but I 100% do not understand the hype. And I'm a big Lin Manuel Miranda fan based on Moana.

Curious what you found inappropriate? My 10yo loves it, and the mildly adult allusions go right over her head.
