I was recently told that I should always cut them off!

No, never. It's part of the design. Unlike those string ties at the back hem of everyone's coat that they don't know to remove.

Hahaha. I got in an argument back in college with someone about this and the fabric tags that are sometimes loosely stitched on the wrist of coats. She was deeply committed to leaving things as-is when purchased. For some reason, it drove me absolutely nuts.

What? No! How else would someone know what brand you're wearing?

If they’re from a person you want to remember, I have seen beautiful art made from collections. Put the tags in a grid pattern under acrylic floating frame. If you don’t want to save them, I’m sure some cowboy enthusiast would buy.

EBay. You can stitch it on your Walmart Shein jeans.

You could always use a sharpie and redact the waist size

"....should cut them off"? or what will happen? Use your own common sense and decide what YOU like. I will add that I have never seen anyone do this.

Abercrombie jeans come without the leather, but have a darker patch there where the leather would go.

Anonymous wrote:No but I’ve considered it. I air dry my jeans and on some pairs the leather tab gets crunchy and warped.

After you air dry, if you fluff them for 10 min they don’t shrink but get less crunchy.

No, you don't need to cut them off.

Yes, people sell tags on Etsy. They don't sell fast, they're just for people who want to craft with them.

Oddly yes... I try really hard not to throw things into the dump. And, oddly, just saw them listed on Etsy for $26 each. Can you believe it!

What’s the point? I’m sure people know what size you are just by looking at you
