+1 that’s a popular school for outdoorsy people out in the mountains. Not a lot of OOS students though

To clarify, do you mean <30k tuition only, or <30k full cost including room and board?

Tuition (before filling out any specific scholarship applications)

You mean he graduated HS in 2021 and is enrolled in a community college now?

$40k is completely out of reach.

All would be great options if the $$ can work.

Agree

All U of WA
Gonzaga
Lewis and Clark

Gonzaga may be worth a look, but would be difficult to get enough merit to get the full cost down to 22k. Getting down to 40k with merit is doable. My understanding is that their freshman class is quite full, though every college has at least some people drop, so I imagine they might still take some in the spring.

Sure. I'm proud. Mainly just trying to help him find resources to reach his goals.

We have had family who took a circuitous route to college and were very happy at Utah State University. It also suits your child's outdoorsy vibe.

Meant to add: there are multiple campuses, and Park City, Moab, Monument Valley may be of specific interest.

I’d encourage DC to take standardized test….the results will help target schools more accurately. Some great suggestions in this thread though.
