If your DC is stronger in humanities/reading comprehension than math, she might improve her scores by switching to, and doing test prep on, the ACT. It's worth a try to see if she has a comparative advantage on that test - both my humanities kids did.

On the other hand, my kid first PSAT and first SAT had 1420, did Khan academy a lot hoping to edge up into schools/merit awards that would be available at 1500+ and slid down to the upper 1200's by the final try. Not the message that hard work always rewards.
