+1. I’m 33. The only people I know that did this were dramatic/immature very young couples in their teens and maybe very early 20s

My husband and I married young and have been fb friends since high school. Even when we were young and stupid we didn’t delete or block each other. If he did this now I would assume he had lost his mind or was having an affair. That’s just really bizarre behavior.

These kinds of responses are wild to me. I had an on again/off again boyfriend in college and we fought and unfriended or blocked each other once or twice but why do this in a mature, adult relationship? I think sometimes there is a generational component? How old are you?

I don’t have an FB but if my DH removed me as a follower on Instagram and unfollowed me I would think, at best, he was being ridiculous and immature and, at worst, he was trying to hide something.

Agreed. It is a sign of mental illness. Normal people do not do things like this.

Social media is awful in general, but it is helpful in identifying unstable people. Back when I was on Facebook, I had “real life” friends who’d constantly delete me and then try to re-add me. Those people are no longer friends.
