Me too. Fell pregnant at 45yo but lost the baby. You will be fine either way.

+3 take it one day at a time OP. 4 weeks pregnant is still very early and at our age, the miscarriage rate is high. Sorry for your losses ladies.

I don’t think OP is too old. But if she doesn’t want a baby she doesn’t have to continue the pregnancy.

I Love this. I think babies are often even more appreciated the older you are. I just had my 3rd (I'm only 33) but somehow this baby tugs at my heart strings even more than the earlier onea, they are ao sweet and precious at this age, those first smiles... Fat rolls under their chin... It's a welcome reprieve from the older kids when I can just spend time with the baby <3

And I have to add... When people are writing, "too old to have a baby" what? No you're not. If it were your 1st that would be a different story. Every parent has challenges. You have the benefit of being older and presumably more experienced and hopefully financially secure. You will do an awesome job. So what if you have grey hair while your kid is in elementary school??? Older parents are so common these days.

My mom had my little brother at 43. Out of the 4 of us siblings, he is quite possibly the most stable/successful/socially normal...
He's a sweetheart. My mom says when I was about 4 years old (I'm the 3rd) she was cleaning out the attic/kids storage and said to my dad, "Well, I guess pur diaper days are over..." And gave all the baby stuff away. 2 weeks later she found out she was pregnant!

You will be in your late 60's when your kids graduates from college. That's hard.

If I were in your shoes, I would get an abortion. 1. Way too old to have a baby, in my eyes. 2. The odds of the baby coming out jacked up is high and honestly, I wouldn’t want to risk it. 3. Abortions are so simple. Best of luck!

Is there another story here? Did you want a second and couldn't have one?

Agree that you should get counseling. You are not forced to carry a baby. Abortion doesn't have to be traumatic.

Wow! That’s early. I’m surprised you would have even tested. I would have just assumed perimenopause

Thank you for saying this! I want to say while I am pro abortion, I don’t want to have to go through that. I just don’t know that I can mentally handle that. I really don’t know that I can handle much these days.

Maybe you should find someone to talk to because if you are pro-choice, then having a kid because you don’t think you could mentally handle much seems like maybe not the best plan.

Nonsurgical (pill) abortion is usually available up to about 8 weeks I think.
