But what if he wanted to take advantage of that leniency and come into the building and shoot a bunch of people one day? How is that going to be prevented if he can just by-pass the security screening? What guarantee do you have that he couldn’t possibly ever do that? You don’t.
You also don't have the guarantee that the armed Sheriff's deputies won't, but somehow they are exempt from this very serious rule.
What would you screen them for? Guns?

An earlier post notes that the cameras in the courthouse record both audio and video. The recording that was quickly FOIA’d does not include the audio portion. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.

You do realize that Congressmen/women must go through security? They are elected officials.
Plenty of elected officials go through security. Some don't like it, but they are not exempt.
