It is no surprise the Sherriff's Office filed a complaint. They hate his guts.
Outranking does not mean he's not subject to rules.
No, that's exactly what it does mean. Descano isn't a random attorney in private practice - he's an elected official similar to the County Sheriff. He should not be subject to additional screening.
But what if he wanted to take advantage of that leniency and come into the building and shoot a bunch of people one day? How is that going to be prevented if he can just by-pass the security screening? What guarantee do you have that he couldn’t possibly ever do that? You don’t.
You also don't have the guarantee that the armed Sheriff's deputies won't, but somehow they are exempt from this very serious rule.

2) Picking random days to screen people you don't usually screen is a terrible policy that's bound to piss people off because it's unpredictable.
3) The video at least doesn't really show much of a tirade. He presumably behaved a little unprofessionally (the video doesn't even really show that) but it seems like the news is making a big deal something pretty trivial.
A few thoughts:
1. This guy is the Commonwealth Attorney. He isn’t the President. Ray Morrogh never acted like this.
2. Picking random days to screen people is one way to find things that otherwise may slip through the cracks.
3. The video on Fox5 is a neutered version. Those cameras record audio and video.
4. The security guards Descano encountered at the metal detector and x-ray machine are not Sheriffs. They are from a private company. Those two guards were upset enough with how they were treated by CA Descano that they raised the issue with the Sheriffs who are responsible for court security.
