That hasn’t been true since I was a kid. Most video gamers are in the 30 to 45 year old range. They have the most income to spend and drive the market. Many of them just game variously through their kids by buying them the games and hardware.

To be clear, I wouldn’t divorce immediately over this. But after multiple discussions and this person likely refusing to seek help for their mental health issues, I would be fine.
My husband spends too much time on his phone — as do I. But it isn’t interfering with our work or home life.
