Spot on. Being a bottom feeder is not what clubs strive for year on year. Of course winning matters.

Loudoun rosters a zillion players in hopes of finding the right combination. Not working and never has. Loot at the struggling VDA program, several coaches have been fired cuz they are not getting positive results so they panic. How bout SYC, they teach with a win now mentality, at all cost (using every trick on the book to get that W at younger ages). Kids get older and all of the sudden they cant win. VA Union seems to make it a point to flush out perceived weaker players and replace them with perceived ballers, is it working? BRYC, well, i wont go there cuz everyone will start defending them on how great the program is.

Common theme among area teams: Let's play the American way. Let's recruit the biggest kid who can pound you and win that way. If we can't get that big kid, let's sacrifice players and make them mini linebackers and go with it. Let's play kick ball and get an easy score. Parents who kiss ass the most get our attention (volunteer or $donations, don't matter).

Player pools and lack of leadership does not seem to be an issue with clubs like Alexandria and Arlington.

Wait, Arlington I get, but Alexandria is a powerhouse all of a sudden? That's laughable.

Girls soccer parent above, or somebody who has no idea what is going on in early age groups as kids have begun choosing between ecnl and mls next. Alexandria, SYC are doing well and would absolutely clean up against local ecnls other than pipeline U13-15. Kids are moving away from VDA and Arlington to MLS Next teams, not to them.

Alexandria, SYC, Arlington, VDA and Loudoun are all good clubs with good teams in these age ranges, and none of them would "clean up" with the others. And very few kids are moving in either direction.

If u want to be taken seriously Dont put loudoun and good in the same sentence. Unless you’re talking about conning people.

Maybe you're not paying attention to how Loudoun teams are performing because you're so caught up in your Loudoun is evil narrative.

Don’t think boys are moving from ECNL to MLS in the older age groups, but absolutely have seen movement in the younger age groups.
