Guy: interesting advice. If you’re just out of a long marriage use this opportunity to have fun and I would have thought most women would go younger. Also what you thought you want will change compared to what you looked for a marriage. It’s best to take time to adjust before committing to anything !

You are going to get a ton of posts on this thread saying, "I got divorced at 55 and have had a stream of men ever since... It's up to you. Yes, you can date and find another person. do you want to? Not going to guarantee you will fall in love like a fairy tail, but discovering a companion is definitely possible.

You sound great! You will do well - especially in this area (lots of eligible, educated single men in your age range here).
A work colleague in similar circumstances to yours told me she had tons of interested prospects; she was having a great time dating (and she was clear that it was all the attention she appreciated).
Just one suggestion: if like most of us, you have some sort of “baggage” or issue you’d prefer not to have, try to address that issue ahead of time. Yes, yes, no one is perfect. I get it.
But the less you drag into a new relationship, the better.

Thank you, and as the prior poster asks - what is the litter for this age group/demographic? I would prefer not to have to put myself out there on a dating site, but I’m guessing that’s what you’ve gotta do these days. Also socialize through church and friends. Actually just attending church and hanging out with friends is sounding pretty good right now.

I’m 2 years older than you but match up very well on the other things. I was nervous too for the same reason but I was surprised by how much interest there was out there even from guys in their early 40’s. I’m pretty cautious about getting intimate with someone but I still have a very active libido so that’s been a real bonus of dating.

I am in this same situation can men and women in this age group/demographic share where they are meeting quality people? I am so ready to date/have another relationship and libido is off the hook but don’t know how to put myself out there.

Late 50s. Good luck with that. Priorities will shift over 60s-80s. And that 48 yo that was cheating in her husband will likely do it to you too.
