I’ve combo fed and formula fed my kids. I used to work as a nanny. Some breastfed babies slept through the night, and some formula fed babies slept through the night. Some breastfed and formula fed babies didn’t. I don’t bring formula magically made your baby sleep through the night. It’s mostly likely your milk is not fatty and he needs the extra calories, or he is eating more from the bottle and that is helping him sleep longer. Quit and formula feed if you decide that’s best, but it’s not a magic formula that makes your baby sleep through the night. My combo fed baby slept better than my formula fed baby.
that is what people mean by formula. nobody thinks formula itself has something in it that makes babies sleep. it's about babies eating enough and now waking up because they are hungry.
all my kids slept through the night after like, just a few weeks. yup, formula fed, supplemented with some breastmilk for a couple of months.
