IME, girls go until quite old with friends but boys stop by age 10/11.

I'd give candy to an adult if they showed up in the spirit, and in a costume. The aging out sh== is just that. Instead of shaming older kids for trick or treating, we should be thankful they aren't out doing a million other worse things.

My DS1 stopped in middle school, but DS2 went until he was about 16. He wore the same Scream costume 4 years in a row, lol. I honestly couldn't care less what others think.

Yes seriously, it's some cheap candy from Walmart, who cares.

I don't understand ppl who want kids to grow up so fast or deny them fun. Esp right now.

I love kids of all ages, but we do turn our light off pretty early since ours are little.

People can be awful to middle schoolers. I get it. They can be idiots and stand around in groups and be loud and clueless. But they’re kids.

I love seeing respectful teenagers trick or treating. Heck, I’d be thrilled to see an 80 year old in costume come to my door.

I give candy to anybody that comes to my house and wants candy, age doesn’t matter… costumes don’t matter. Why would I hoard my candy, it’s going in the trash at the end of the night.

I also give out beer and wine.

I’m the poster above you. There are lots of parents who walk through our neighborhood with the kids while sipping drinks. It’s a huge social event. And yes, I offer them candy! I love Halloween.

My son said he was too old for a costume by the time he was about 12. I am still dressing up every year at 45 and did even before we had kids so I don’t think there is ever an age you age out of Halloween. I like to dress up and decorate the house to give out the candy.

As for ToT, anyone who comes to my house is welcome to candy. I don’t seem to get any high schoolers unless they are taking siblings but if a group came they would be welcome.

No age but figure out a costume that is not your soccer uniform. We Also turn the light off about 8 30 which eliminates older kids cruising through 10 neighborhoods.

Ugh, I hate adults who police a fun sized candy bar (and, more to the point, make nice teens having fun feel like crap).

If you show up to my door in a costume and are reasonably pleasant, here, have some Reese’s.

Who cares? I’m just happy to get trick or treaters!
