Make soccer less diluted in the DMV
I thikg maybe Virginia revolution and fcv and maybe
vda fully with vsa and pwsi
manassas united and manassas soccer club
lmvsc and gunston
I also like the sound of elite talent academy, doradus, and team America bata and Spartans since team America is more of a sign your own team up
CYA (Virginia Valor) was already merged with VDA before, but left for some strange reason. I think how VDA currently has it set up is ideal. At U-littles, minimize travel to practices and then when they are older, then they can travel farther for combined practices.
I'm not sure there needs to be a lot of mergers, but there are too many elite clubs in NOVA. Look at Richmond United. They have a monopoly on top talent in the Richmond, suburbs, and exurbs. There should be only one or two elite clubs in NOVA that travel to the northeast or carolinas to play, but instead look how many there are between MLSNext, ECNL, and GA. It would be great if except for those 2 clubs for the truly exceptional, the rest just play other NOVA clubs.

Merge the ECNL and GA.
Kick out any club that charges fees for its top teams at U-15 and above.
All clubs in this top-tier league must offer boys and girls program. Doing so in conjunction with another club is fine (say, a D.C. United-Spirit partnership).
Those clubs' "B" teams and any other club teams may join one national "elite" pyramid with assigned tiers in which travel is minimized.
Voila. No more diluted talent.
Let's take 2004 girls as an example. The top tier of the elite pyramid, based on YouthSoccerRankings, would be:
32. FCV
59. McLean
73. Loudoun
86. VDA
87. Pipeline (which could opt for a Baltimore/PA league along with Armour, Celtic, etc.)
89. Arlington
96. Maryland United
107. Bethesda
271. GFR
283. VSA
289. Vienna
328. DMV FC
The next tier would be even more local. The NoVa league would have BRYC, Alexandria, ViVa, SYC, Arlington Red, PWSI, Metro United, Barca, LMVSC, Burke, NVSC and Loudoun Red.
One platform would be amazing, some good ideas proposed here
This post just proves that Youtj soccer rankings is a joke

Make soccer less diluted in the DMV
Arlington already seems too big. I could see Alexandria absorbing a nearby club.
I could see a case for Vienna expanding a bit, maybe with an FPYC merger, but it somehow seems weird to me.
But what’s the problem we’re solving here?
