Yes, hubayter. My nurse said he’s super smart and good at what he does… I believe that, but he just doesn’t take the time to explain things like Dr. Humm did. Ex: he doesn’t ever count follicles if they’re small… last month he simply said my ovaries were both “quiet” and I had to explain I was already 5 days into stims and ask him to go back and count. He just assumed it was my baseline sono (even though he already did that like a week prior). It’s also hard to get an answer/opinion out of him.

He’s definitely overworked—Dr. Frankfurter too. I love, love, love Dr. F but he’s like impossible to get an appointment with unless you have a failed cycle.

I'm feeling a bit rushed just to do it instead of getting his thoughts on the best way/time (aka give it a few months with supplements per "It Starts with the Egg"). I think most docs are not used to emotionally ambivalent egg freezing patients, though.

I don't think all doctors are as gungho about supplements as that book. I've done treatments at Columbia Fertility and did a consult at Shady grove and neither recommended any supplements and they both kinda dismissed it as you can try it if you want... so they certainly wouldn't recommend delaying eggs (more time means older eggs) for them.

That's true - I don't think it's worth waiting, just wanted to discuss it a bit more with him. We're finding time to do so, but in the meantime I started on prenatals and CoQ10 just in case; can't hurt!

Just curious - are you talking about Dr. Hubayter? I've been wondering if it's cultural/if he's just overworked...

FWIW I'm getting ready to start the egg freezing process with their new Dr. Hubayter and he seems very kind and patient so far, just maybe a bit less experienced with single anxious women going through the process alone. I'm feeling a bit rushed just to do it instead of getting his thoughts on the best way/time (aka give it a few months with supplements per "It Starts with the Egg").
