for those suggesting other brands of EVs I did look around but we stuck with Tesla for our 2nd car (have an S, ordered a 3) bz of the superiority of the charging grid for when we travel

I find it most interesting that almost all negative comments are from non-owners, while people that actually drive Teslas have overwhelmingly positive reviews of the car. I think that speaks volumes.
Question for the non-owners. In a discussion titled "Tesla owners- please advise ", why do you feel the need to give your two cents on something you have no clue about? Its puzzling becuase you'd never see non-Honda owners harp about how crappy Hondas are, maybe at most you'd see people commenting on the looks, but for Teslas this is done on another level of intensity. Legit question, why?

Tesla will send a to truck, a $100 uber voucher and a replacement car if needed, all free of any charge. Somehow, I doubt you have that level of service with your current car.
also, they are not limited to delivering a wheel only to home addresses, so your question is a little strange, yes, they'll go to any place your car broke, their road side assistance really is the best.
What do you do when you have a flat tire 200 miles from anywhere?

+1. The third row is great for kids, but doesn't work with anyone taller than 5' 2" or so. You literally can't sit upright without hitting your head.

We’ve had the 3 for 2 years and no issues. We use it as our primary car so drive it everywhere including road trips and sometimes commuting plus all the stuff with the kids. We’ve had no issues and I like that the service people come to your house. We had one issue with a squeaky wheel (worked fine but made a squeak when you turned it) which apparently some people had but the service guy fixed it easily.

OP, look at the ordering backlog for Ys. We have had a 3 for 2+ years with no issues, and have a deposit down on a Y since July. Our production date keeps getting pushed back, and is now not even showing. Supply chain issues are hitting hard.

is it really $53,990 as listed on website?
I paid about 47k because I got the standard range Y (240 miles). I don’t really need the bigger battery. I have the mid range 3 (325 mi) and after using it for two years I realized that I don’t need the extra range for the next car. We do take the Y on road trips, and again no issues with the range, supercharger locations or charging time.
On the 3, I also have the autopilot, but when I purchased the Y, I decided it wasn’t worth $10k.

Have had my model 3 since December 2020. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Going to a gas station is archaic and disgusting
