never "tasteful" and always harmful for pedestrians, bikers, wild animals. The probability of surviving an accident with a suv is much smaller than by being hit of a smaller "normal" car.

Well my goal is to protect my family which my Audi Q7 did when we hit a deer going 70 mph on the interstate. No a scratch on anyone. Car totaled. Did its job. Would have been a different story in a car.

I can't say anything about the wild animals but maybe if the pedestrians and bikers were more careful, they wouldn't have to worry about SUV's or cars hitting them. It's not always the fault of the vehicle or its owner when there is an accident.

I have to disagree. Unless I'm getting an exceptional deal I'll never buy a car again.

Currently driving a 2016 Ford Explorer and when this needs replacing, I'll probably buy a 4 door truck.

Ford Explorers are not tasteful, sorry.

Love my Explorer. My only regret is that I didn't buy a higher trim. I love that I sit higher up than a car which gives me a better and safer view of the road ahead, and I don't have to worry as much every time I hit a bump in the road.

They are hatchbacks. Just people like to think they're too cool for hatchbacks.

It's this alone that may make me keep my Chevy Bolt, because the alternatives are all "crossovers."

Just got the VW ID.4 a few weeks ago and I love it. It’s a crossover SUV. It’s also an EV so you have to be up for that.

What's weird about the small crossovers is that they are basically just the same size as cars that are hatchbacks.
