I could have written this post. I think that a lot of men think that less attractive women make more “stable” and “presentable” wives and girlfriends. Then they complain down the line that their wives won’t have sex. Men are stupid.

I don't think so. Most men need a certain level of attraction, then after that other factors come into play. Most men aren't willing to date someone they don't find attractive. And not every guy is well-adjusted enough to want the type of woman you describe. It's all about the pot finding its lid, not some mythical woman who is perfect for every guy.

This sounds like my wife. On first meeting her I thought she was attractive but nothing special. Then over time I realized how smart and nice she was and that’s what got my attention. I knew her for over a year before our first date. 30 years later she is very attractive because she looks much younger than she is thanks to good genes. The sex has always been good.

disagree. men always think they can do better. Most WOMEN are willing to go down in looks for other qualities.

She has to be physically attractive enough to get my attention but she doesn’t have to be beautiful. Once there is an attraction then it comes down to brains, a sense of humor etc etc plus great sex.

Someone who's not conventionally beautiful? Sure. I don't care whether other people are attracted to my wife. Someone who I personally am not attracted to? Not a good idea. You can find someone attractive without them being "objectively" good-looking.

If you love someone they become attractive, when you’re tired of someone they become unattractive. Get with whoever you want it’s all heading the same direction.
