This is pathetic.
Agree. Anyone who backs teaching the racist, divisive 1619 project in school is indeed a blathering idiot.
Same goes for CRT.
CRT = bigotry.
Without defining the terms on these items, everyone's just going to be talking past each other. Is the 1619 Project a specific set of news articles or is it anything that focuses on the evils of slavery in America? Is CRT a distinct field of legal study or is it anything that has to do with anti-racism? The answer is probably somewhere in the middle for both issues. But these are really just excuses for liberals and conservatives to have another cultural proxy war, not really caring much about the underlying issue but really enjoying using whatever is handy as a rhetorical cudgel with which to hit the other side over the head.
The 1619 project explicitly seeks to place slavery at the center of the narrative of American history. You have to be pretty far off the deep end to think that is going to go over well
I'm not sure what the objection to centering the American story around slavery is. Which landmark moments in American history don't have direct links to our past relationship with slavery?
cool, push America is evil and see where that gets you. I'm sure republicans are beyond excited about the 1619 project because most people don't hate this country and don't want their children taught to hate it

The "normal people" who are buying and self-administering horse dewormer have arrived.
I get it. You heard something scary on Fox news and did no further research.

Anonymous wrote:The only goals the 1619 project and CRT will achieve are to increase racial animosity among students and further divide Americans along racial and political lines.
These schemes do not belong in any public school.

they should be embarrassed, but they won't be
They should be proud of standing up for the truth and opposing CRT.

the main problem is that the crazies do not actually know what these things are - they just know the name because they have been told they are EVIL
