What about sending a really incorrect message - something referring to fake people ("Hey did you talk to Tim or Veronica? They heard my big news" when you know this person doesn't know a Veronica or Tim and you haven't shared exciting news) and see if it prompts her to reply.

No it's ringing a normal amount of times and then going to VM. I also started in my earlier responses that it shows the eye icon meaning she has read my texts so clearly her phone isn't lost or broken..

Oops sorry that got quoted weird. But to answer your question I only sent one text after the first one and it said she read it after that I called multiple times but no answer. I'm just trying to go over in my head what I could have said or done to upset her and everything seemed completely fine and normal when we talked over the phone Saturday and she told me how the first day of her new weekend job went.

I'm not sure why everyone is acting like this is ok behavior for someone to treat someone they call a best friend. Best friends don't just ghost someone and not respond and make them worry like the poster above said. It really isn't hard because apparently this friend isn't in a dire situation since she read OP's text to just let her know she is ok. Literally takes less than a minute out of your time.

NP this is a super close friend though? This isn't a casual friendship from the sounds of it. Clearly close enough that the OP decided to post it in the family category. If a su sendper close friend suddenly ignored all my texts and calls out of the blue I would definitely be knocking on her door after a couple da send ys. If the friend needed space wouldn't the courteous thing be to s it send a quick text at the very least to someone you supposedly consider a best friend and say, "hey girl I'm ok I am just dealing with some stuff and I need a little space I'll get back to you soon." Instead of this immaturity of just ignoring someone leaving them to worry and wonder?

I would just drive by the apartment and look for signs of life. If you see lights on, her car in the parking spot, etc, then just give her space.
