They'll fit you in. Go tomorrow.

I waited until I could get an appointment, which was 6 weeks. I am now deaf in one ear. The doctor said “you should have come in sooner” and I nearly killed him as that was the earliest one I could get. Tell me again why the Canadian system is worse?
+100. There is a small window of time that steroids will help. I lost partial hearing in one ear because I waited too long to see a doctor thinking that I just got water in my ear from swimming.

Anonymous wrote:OP when was your vaccine or did you have Covid recently? There is a FB group with tons of support and tips for tinnitus and hearing loss after vaccine (if that's what it is) but could help either way. 3k members.

This is scary, and I agree, PP, I actually understand how this could be something that would drive someone to suicide. It's torturous. The vertigo continues to come in waves, and now pain radiating into my head. Sigh.
Steroids and time. Could be vaccine covid or viral
Or positional
OP here. Just following up, yes, high dose steroids for now, will go back on Wednesday and depending on whether the oral steroids are showing any improvement they might do an injection. Also have an MRI scheduled for Oct. 3, where he's looking for a benign style tumor in the ear, blood clot, or other tumor. Hopefully those are just ruled out.
